Nestled in the rolling countryside just outside Edinburgh, Cathlaw Cat Sitting stood for more than just a business—it was a business built on love, hard work, and a deep connection to cats. The name Cathlaw comes from the tiny hamlet where Jocelyn grew up with her best friend, Louis, a cat who is more than just a pet—he was family.

Louis was there for everything: scraped knees, whispered secrets and rainy days spent curled up with a movie or book. His presence was comforting, and unwavering. Even though he passed in 2022, his impact remains strong. He is the heart behind Jocelyn’s love for cats and the inspiration for the business she now pours herself into.

Cathlaw Cat Sitting begins with Jocelyn’s Mum in 2008, born out of both necessity and passion. Losing her job was difficult, but in caring for cats, she found something meaningful. She dedicated herself to providing a happy, loving environment for every feline customer. While a young Jocelyn helps, learning the quirks and personalities of different cats, deepening her understanding of their needs and the companionship they bring.

Years later, life shifts again. After major surgery leaves Jocelyn with a permanent disability, she faces a crossroads—her lifestyle and career must change. But through the uncertainty, one thing is clear: her love for cats and the joy they bring is unwavering.

Picking up where her Mum leaves off, Jocelyn carries forward Cathlaw Cat Sitting with the same dedication and heart. It is not just about providing care—it is about offering tranquillity for cats and peace of mind for their owners. She knows first-hand the deep bond between humans and their furry friends, the comfort and companionship they bring.
